CTeSP – Higher Technical Professional Courses

Description

The Higher Professional Technical Courses (CTeSP) are a new training offer offered within the scope of Polytechnic higher education with 120 ECTS and the duration of four academic semesters. These study cycles have components of general and scientific training, technical training and on-the-job training, which takes place through an internship at the end of the course, and aim to establish a bridge between the academic and business worlds.

They award a Higher Professional Technician Diploma, level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning, and allow students direct access, through a special competition, to degrees in the same area of study and institution where they completed their degree.

Can I apply?

Anyone who meets the conditions defined in article 40º-E of Decree-Law no.63/2016, september 13th

a) Holders of a secondary education course or legally equivalent qualification;

b) Those who have been approved in the specially appropriate tests designed to assess the ability to attend higher education for those over 23 years old, for the course in question, under the terms of Decree-Law no. 64/2006, of 21 of March, amended by Decree-Laws nº 113/2014, of July 16th, and 63/2016, of September 13th.

Holders of a technological specialization diploma, a professional higher technician diploma or a higher education degree, who wish to re-qualify themselves professionally, may also apply for access to professional higher technical courses.

Students enrolled in CTeSP are covered by direct and indirect social action (scholarships, accommodation, food), under the same terms as other higher education students.

Applications for a CTeSP are made by interested parties, by filling in the appropriate form within the deadlines defined in the public notice.
